Homework Sunday
Yet another Sunday busy with schoolwork. I’m so glad this is nearing the end, or at least a break until I start with the bachelor or other classes. First I finally recorded my speech for COM100, then I worked on some chemistry labs. The “big” experiment today was to crush alka-seltzer tabs, fill them into balloons, add a specific amount of water to each, tie them off as quickly as possible and then measure and record their circumference every few minutes for 20 minutes. Stressful! Considering all I had to measure was a piece of string and a tiny ruler (plus John was out for the most part and couldn’t lend a hand or two), accuracy was pretty much non-existent. Naturally my experimental value were far off what should have been there. Hopefully I still get some points for trying. The only labs left now are chromatography and some pH value stuff. I’m thinking about waiting a couple of weeks until my mother arrives, she might get a kick out of helping me with it. She might find it curious that red cabbage water is a pH indicator…
